About this campaign
The 2018 March for Science - Pittsburgh will take place on Saturday, April 14, 2018.
Last year, over 5000 people came out to March for Science in the streets of Pittsburgh. This year, we're looking to break our record and make our march the biggest of all the sister marches!
We're selling shirts to cover the costs for permitting, staging, sound, and power.
We are concerned scientists, students, teachers, doctors, engineers, and members of the Pittsburgh community who are marching in support of:
- Science that serves the common good
- Diversity, Gender Equity and Inclusion in STEM
- Funding for scientific research and its applications
- Cutting-edge science education
- Evidence-based policy and regulations
- Open, honest science and inclusive public outreach
Our event will be held on the campus of the University of Pittsburgh, in Oakland: the heart of Pittsburgh?s thriving research community. This is a nonpartisan event, seeking to celebrate the role that science plays in our everyday lives. Inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility are central to the mission and principles of the March for Science - Pittsburgh.
Thanks for supporting our cause, and we'll see you at the March!
