Saturday, August 17th Prevent Child Abuse New York Charity Event
Vision Sports Club, the AMRAP Fitness program, and Prevent Child Abuse New York have joined forces to help bring awareness of child abuse in our area.
This nonprofit organization offers a Parent/Caregiver Helpline, which is the most direct service they provide. In addition, they also offer off training, support, and technical assistance to professionals who are working directly with families to prevent abuse. Finally, also do advocacy and policy work. In the most recent legislative session, we helped get 4 bills passed that will directly benefit children who are at risk. We invite you to join the team, where every dollar raised benefits the essential clinical care, unique support services, and a way to positively impact children?s lives.
Our GOAL is to raise $7000.00

All children have the right to a safe, secure and supportive environment.
Prevent Child Abuse New York is the only private, nonprofit agency serving the entire state whose single mission is to prevent child abuse in all its forms. Through public awareness, training and technical assistance, and policy work and advocacy our work supports the healthy development and prosperity of New York's children, families, and communities. Without Prevent Child Abuse New York, countless struggling and isolated parents might never find the help they need--community programs that we know prevent child abuse might not even exist--our State's response to protecting children would dwindle.

AT A GLANCE:
Last year, over 65,000 New York State children were abused and neglected by those who should nurture and protect them. In addition to the consequences of immediate harm, child victims suffer a higher risk of long-term problems: learning disabilities, poor health, mental illness, substance abuse, juvenile, and adult crime. We all pay the price for child abuse. New York State spends an estimated $5 billion a year to deal with the consequences.
Founded in 1980, we are a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. We are a chartered state chapter of Prevent Child Abuse America
