For 30 years, Hearts In Motion has brought humanitarian teams to South and Central America, providing medical care, surgery, basic needs, and, most importantly, human dignity. Most of our work takes place in Guatemala. However, our efforts span the United States and globally as we leverage our partnerships to enhance our combined efforts to help people in crisis.

Why are we focused on Guatemala?

Over 17 million people live in Guatemala. Of those, 59% live in poverty and 23% live in extreme poverty.

While working abroad, we respect the culture of those whose lives we touch while enabling volunteers to participate in life-changing mission and service experiences.

We develop high-quality programs and services that improve people's health, education, and welfare.

We strive to complement existing resources and partner with others locally, nationally, or internationally to foster a continuum of support.

We provide compassionate care while protecting human health and dignity.

And we do it all with amor in our hearts.
