We at Secondhand Judy Co. have recently brought up two dogs who are heartworm positive. Before they can become companions ? or even future service dogs ? they need lifesaving treatment. Heartworm treatment costs about one thousand dollars per dog and spaying is another $600. But we believe their story doesn?t end there. At Green Mountain Dog Camp, these dogs aren?t just rescued ? they are given purpose, training, and a future. Bella and Carlita are going to be trained as service dogs. Bella is going to help an 11 year old girl with autism and Carlita is going to be trained for a veteran with PTSD.
