Lightbridge Mission is a national nonprofit helping children and families affected by craniofacial conditions like cleft lip and palate.

The road from birth to adulthood for these children often spans 18 years or more, with surgeries, specialized appliances, therapies, and follow-up care along the way. Even insured families face steep out-of-pocket costs and the hidden expenses that come with a long treatment journey: travel, lodging, lost income, and the appliances and orthotics insurance routinely denies. Those costs add up to a burden no family should carry alone.

We exist to close that gap. We help families afford the care insurance leaves behind, we fund the research that raises the standard of care for every child, and we are building toward a future where no family ever pays.
