Since 1992, the Coastal Prairie Conservancy has been working to preserve the prairie for people and wildlife while there is still time. We are a nationally accredited 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Houston, Texas, and a trusted leader in local land conservation. We are also one of the largest local land conservation organizations, by acreage, in southeast Texas. The Coastal Prairie Conservancy now protects over 30,000 acres of coastal prairie in Texas.
The "Birds of the Katy Prairie" t-shirt celebrates the Katy Prairie Preserve's unique distinction as a Global Important Bird Area by the National Audubon Society. We are proud to feature these birds as we strive to preserve the endangered prairie lands and prairie ecosystem that they call home.
