We are a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization located in Munising MI. We operate 100% on volunteers and rely on fundraising, donations, and sponsorships to make the celebration possible each year. Our celebration was ranked #1 in MI for 2023 by Pure Michigan and our goal is to continue to achieve this level of recognition. We celebrate the 4th of July on the 4th of July every year, rain or shine. Our earliest record of this celebration dates back to earlier than 1936 with horse pulls & three legged races. Today we have a plethora of activities throughout the day with a 5K run/walk to start the morning, American Legion flag raising, parade, games, rides, live music, free ice cream, water fights with our volunteer fire dept and we end out night with our breathtaking fireworks show over Munising Bay.
