About this campaign
The Chicagoland Humane Coalition launched the Chicago Dog Campaign in 2022 with the intent of elevating and celebrating these beloved canines across the region. The Campaign?s goal is to help Chicago Dogs find their way out of our shelters and into loving homes. All campaign funds will be used to continue our Chicago Dog Campaign!
Meet the Face of the Chicago Dog Campaign - Summer Edition: Heidi
This beautiful girl named Heidi came from Chicago Animal Control where she was found as a stray on the streets. She is about 5 years old and is just about 50 pounds.
She always makes us smile while she's in her kennel with the most enduring face that says "please take me out". Heidi will do best as a single dog to get all of your love and affection. She absolutely LOVES toys, and she loves to chew and shred them, so stuffies don't last long with her. She always loves tennis balls, and will carry one around on her walk so proudly. She will chew it up if left alone with it, so she is learning to give her tennis ball up after her walk by trading for treats. She is very smart and picking up on this very fast! Heidi is up for adoption at Heartland Animal Shelter.
