Community Book Project a registered nonprofit organization established to support literacy and expand book ownership among kids in the greater Seattle area. Studies show that having books at home greatly impacts a child's academic success. The bottom line is that when kids have access to books at home, especially continuous access to new, relevant books, they do significantly better in school. As a result, when we improve educational justice and academic outcomes, surrounding communities benefit. Unfortunately, not every child has the same access to books and resources. So, we have created key programs and partnerships that are aimed at eliminating barriers that stand in the way of book ownership.

As the great Dolly Parton said, "You Can Never Get Enough Books Into the Hands of Enough Children" and we whole-heartedly agree. When you buy merch from our store, you are making a direct impact on the kids we serve. All proceeds go directly to supporting our programming...i.e. getting more books to more kids!! Together we can empower the next generation by ensuring equal access to books for children from all backgrounds and, in-turn, promote thriving communities.
