Wear Hope. Share Hope. Save a Life.
This T-shirt is more than just a shirt...it's a conversation starter, a symbol of hope, and a chance to help save David's life.
My husband, David has lived with diabetes since childhood, but he has never let it define him. He has always been the first person to lend a helping hand, putting his family before himself no matter what life has thrown his way. When COVID struck, our lives changed forever. What started as Stage 2 kidney disease rapidly progressed to Stage 5 kidney failure within weeks. Overnight, David went from working and providing for his family to fighting for his life.
We hoped home dialysis would allow him to continue working and caring for our family, but he suffered a severe allergic reaction that caused fluid to build around his heart and lungs. After a week in the hospital, he was forced to begin in-center dialysis three days every week. The treatments are physically draining, leaving him exhausted and unable to work.
Even while battling his own illness, David continues helping care for our son, who is a quadriplegic with complex medical needs requiring 24-hour care and frequent hospitalizations. He never stops being a devoted husband and father, even on the days when he barely has the strength to care for himself.
A living kidney transplant would mean so much more than ending dialysis. It would give David the opportunity to watch his son's grow, create more memories with his family, regain his independence, and simply enjoy the moments that so many of us take for granted.
Every shirt purchased helps in two important ways. First, it spreads awareness about living kidney donation. Our hope is that someone will see this shirt, ask about David's story, and that conversation could lead us to the person who is his life-saving match. Second, proceeds help ease the financial burden of his transplant journey, including medical expenses, travel, medications, and lost income.
When you wear this shirt, you're not just wearing a design; you are carrying hope. You are helping us share David's story, inspire conversations about living kidney donation, and giving our family hope that somewhere, someone will BEAN the Reason Someone Gets Tomorrow.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for believing in David and walking beside our family on this journey. ?
