Chomper?s Story ?

Meet sweet Chomper. At roughly 5 years old, Chomper found himself wandering the streets, alone and scared. A local rescue took him in, hoping to find his family. Sadly, after completing his stray hold and exhausting every effort to locate his owners, no one came forward.

That?s when Chomper?s journey brought him to us.

Chomper came into rescue with serious medical needs. His skin is suffering from severe mange, his ears are in horrible condition, and he has a long road ahead of him to heal, grow his fur back, and finally feel comfortable in his own skin.

After being evaluated by our medical team, we learned that Chomper will need a double TECA surgery, along with being neutered and extensive ongoing treatment for his skin and ears. While we are incredibly grateful that there are no other major medical issues standing in his way, his care is still expected to cost nearly $9,000.

And Chomper needs us now. ??

He didn?t ask to be abandoned. He didn?t ask to become sick. He certainly didn?t ask for the pain and discomfort he has been living with.

But he does have a second chance now.

We want Chomper to know what it feels like to wake up without painful ears. To have healthy skin. To grow his beautiful fur back. To feel comfortable, loved, and safe.
