Thank you for visiting our Eastern Mass Hawk Watch t-shirt campaign. Our organization is raising funds to help support our mission of raptor conservation. The club uses proceeds from donations, dues, and fundraisers to power raptor conservation efforts throughout New England. With your help, we can ensure that raptors have a future in Massachusetts and beyond. By purchasing a shirt, becoming an EMHW member, or making a donation, you are directly helping us make a tangible difference for the birds in our region!

Founded in 1976, EMHW is an all-volunteer, member-based organization whose mission is to promote the study, conservation and preservation of hawks locally and on a continental scale by monitoring migration in Massachusetts; to share data for research and conservation purposes; to promote education and awareness of the identification of hawks and the issues related to migrating hawks and to instill an appreciation for hawks in general.
We organize regular hawkwatches each Fall and Spring at several long-term sites:

- Wachusett Mountain State Reservation, Princeton, MA
- Mount Watatic, Ashburnham MA
- Pinnacle Rock, Middlesex Fells Reservation, Malden MA
SPRING
- Plum Island/Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, Newburyport MA
- Adams Farm, Athol MA

Each year, EMHW donates critical funds in a timely way to projects that directly affect raptor conservation in Massachusetts, through greater New England, and across the continent. Some examples of conservation projects we have supported in the past five years include:
- Massachusetts Peregrine Falcon Monitoring and Recovery Efforts (MassWildlife)
- Northeast Connecticut Kestrel Project
- Hawk Migration Association
- Snowy Owl Project (Mass Audubon/Blue Hills Trailside Museum)
- The Broad-winged Hawk Project (Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, PA)
- Berkshire Bird Observatory (Great Barrington, MA)
- Tufts Wildlife Clinic (North Grafton, MA)
Your purchase of EMHW apparel and your donations to the club will help us to continue to support these critical projects today, and discover future projects to elevate tomorrow.

Raptor conservation projects have real, tangible impacts on the birds we love. Whether we're supporting Peregrine Falcon band distribution in Massachusetts, helping fund new nest boxes for American Kestrels in Connecticut and Western Mass, or sponsoring international Broad-winged Hawk telemetry studies, EMHW makes sure that your dues, donations, and campaign funds get to those people who are working hard in the field to fight for a future for raptors.
EMHW also uses member funds to power our two main member benefits:
- Our an annual newsletter, published each August, that included reports on the previous spring & fall hawk migrations
- Our annual meeting, held each September, that brings leading hawk authorities to Massachusetts as keynote speakers

Our 2025 T-shirt fundraiser includes a refreshed design and logo for EMHW created by club president Brian Rusnica. The design is a tribute to Massachusetts' classic town sign "bookleaf" motif that adorns the border of each city in the commonwealth.
We've partnered with Bonfire as a unique solution that allows EMHW to support a wide variety of size, color and garment options. Bonfire ships your order directly to you and handles all customer support. EMHW is also able to accept additional donations through Bonfire, should you want to pledge further support for our programs!
