Grandmother Josephine-ba Mandamin heard Chief Edward Benton-Banai say these words and it inspired her to walk around the great lakes and become know as a Mother Earth Water Walker. She also asks us "What are you going to do about it?" As a graphic design and typography professor teaching on the shores of Lake Michigan, this is part of my effort to protect the freshwater that is near and dear to my heart. I will be donating 70% of profits from these shirts to Great Lakes Neighbors United with the remainder supporting future environmental awareness design projects.
