Gemma was diagnosed with right sided hemiplegic cerebral palsy around 1 year old. We discovered she had a stroke while I was pregnant with her. This has left her with right sided weakness. She has low muscle tone, delayed speech, and swallowing problems. Gemma is a fighter, she has had so much growth in the last year. Currently, she has PT, OT, and speech weekly in our home and we take her to an outpatient clinic for extra PT and OT. Gemma wants to walk, talk, eat, and just move. Intensive therapy is something amazing for children with cerebral palsy. Gemma was accepted into an intensive therapy program in North Carolina for a week of PT and light therapy. Insurance does not pay for intensive therapy so we are asking for our friends and family to support Gemma by purchasing a shirt. All profit made will go to the cost of her intensive therapy and travel expenses. Thanks to everyone who can purchase a shirt or who can just share Gemma?s story.
