My Testimony!

TLDR:

Jesus changed my life, and CFNI is where I believe I am meant to be. If God has put it on your heart please consider helping me stay.

Since I was a child, I had always believed in God. I accepted Jesus into my heart on December 07 2007. A date I remember well because of a portrait my Grammy had made me to commemorate the moment I had accepted him with my Mother praying over me. From then on, I had gotten into reading the Word with the help of a kids' Bible. I was reading it to the point where it had become something of a security blanket?Namely, in the way that I clutched it close while I slept. Something I know, the Lord found amusing. I know he did, because he showed up to express it in my dreams?one night, after reading the word. In a golden glow, the brightest you can imagine, exuding pure joy, Jesus Christ appeared, laughed, and hugged me in return. When I say the immense joy I felt in the embrace was potent, I mean it. I woke up with that memory ingrained in my mind, and knew without a shadow of a doubt it was real. Despite all this, as with most young believers, I fell away as I grew older. I won?t go into my pre-teen-to-teenage years, as it?s really irrelevant to this testimony, but I will relate it, akin to this verse from John 2:11: "But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them." ?And blinded me; the darkness had. Now in my late twenties, my life has unfolded into: sexual immorality through the use of pornography, binge drinking since the age of 21, taking enough Adderall to kill a small calf, and disrespecting everyone and anyone close to me because my heart had become so hard that I simply did not care who or what I hurt with my words or actions. In short, my life was comparable to a stone thrown into a stream (going nowhere). To reiterate, I had indeed fallen away from our Lord. A fact that once again, the Lord chose to weigh in on after a night of drinking. In a pale background (something I can only assume was judgment day). The same man from the dream I had when I was young approached me again. This time, not happy as he was before, no, in fact, he seemed all the angrier. Thrusting his arm to the side, he exclaimed in a loud, righteous voice: ?Depart from me!? Something that must have scared me so intensely that I had jumped back and exclaimed from my throat what sounded like shock. I woke up in utter disbelief, a new memory ingrained in my head. It was at this point that, something I now realize, I knew all along. God was real, and so was what awaited those who chose to spend their life separate from him. At this point, I knew I needed to start seeking God again. So I began to pray once more. A process that at first felt rather awkward, and was likened to talking to a brick wall. Though still, it felt like someone was listening. Fast forward to after being let go from my job at T-Mobile, the good Lord in the span of a day found me a new occupation at our competitor  AT&T. Somewhere quiet, secluded, where I didn?t do much work at all. This proved to be the perfect spot where the Lord would allow me to seek him with spare time on my hands. I ended up doing so by reading the Bible between customers. Now, it?s at this point that miraculous event number three reared its head. While finishing doom scrolling through my favorite Christian content creator: R3alism (shoutout to Colin). I had seen his video referring to the new names we?d be given by The Father when we get to Heaven. Something that made me so eager to have one, I actually remember noting aloud, and I quote: ?Aw, I want a new name.? Something that, this time, not Jesus, but something that could?ve only been the Father decided to, in a rather timely fashion, comment on through my reading of Genesis. For as soon as I had reopened my Bible app, something that shook the entirety of my cranium transpired. I heard a loud voice call out: ?Abraham?! An act that more than likely made me shout something akin to, ?Who?s there!? Me!??

What followed was a massive turnaround and transformation. I began to attend the Lakepointe Church (Royse City Campus) back when they were still based out of Royse City High School. I volunteered to serve as a Greeter, eventually moving into First Time Guests, Moreover, I assisted multiple times in moving us to the Buckee?s Campus, officially! I also Began to attend Lakepointe?s ROOTED. All of this culminated in being baptized on May 3rd, 2026, at Lakepointe?s Main Campus in Rockwall! In short, to comb through the entirety of supernatural events would take AWHILE, and so, I won?t divulge all of what our Heavenly Father has revealed to me. However, one thing I will espouse is the calling he has placed upon my heart through the Holy Spirit working through the same woman who gave me the aforementioned portrait. After praying to God and asking him to reveal his will for my life, my Grandmother came to me and told me about Christ for the Nations. A school for those looking to do God?s will; i.e., through spreading the Gospel, and offering various certifications, and practical means of applying God?s word to their life through a one to three-year program. At the end of which, I?d like to get my Pastoral, and hopefully assist others in finding Jesus the way he found me, and to lead me now to exercise some great humility, where I truly would prefer, in all honesty, not to. However, ?Blessed is the one whom God corrects?, and after being here for an entire month, I can safely attest that this is where I am still to be for awhile longer! So if God has put it on your heart, will you consider donating to me?

? Your Brother in Christ Cole/Abraham.
