Why Graze Against The Machine??
As a small farm, communicating how a we care for land and animals is difficult. We have heard from other small regenerative farms that, like ours, their voices are consistently drowned out. Corporate noise and big-budget special interests, what we collectively call ?the machine?, are hard to compete with. Inspired by one of farmer Mike's favorite bands, Rage Against The Machine who's lyrics express revolutionary political views, Graze Against The Machine? is an effort to make our voices heard and start a conversation about regenerative farming.
Our message to the machine:
We will not conform to your chemical farming practices, your focus on monocropping, or your contempt for the land. We will care for the land that has adopted us. We will do so with respect, working in harmony with nature for healthy and vigorous soil and plants and improving the quality of life for wild and domestic animals. We embrace the 7th Generation Principle of indigenous nations around the world: ?In our every deliberation, we must consider the impact of our decisions on the next seven generations.?
Ok, that's a lot of words to fit on a shirt. We summarized it so the machine will understand.
With your purchase of our new Graze Against The Machine? T-shirt or other merchandise, you will spread the word and demonstrate your activism for healthy food from regenerative farms. Sales will help us continue our efforts to promote and educate about the benefits of regenerative farming. Covid19 has put a strain on supply chains, so if you?re planning on buying our Graze Against The Machine? merchandise as a gift, be sure to order soon to ensure you get it before the holidays.
Even if you don't need a new shirt, you might consider donating one to someone in need. You can also help by sharing why you appreciate farmers that listen to the land, not the machine. Feel free to use the t-shirt image if you need to summarize the message too!
