Our names are Benton and BreAnna and we had each been through a lot before our chance meeting 3 years ago at the White Elephant Saloon in Ft. Worth, Texas. We operate B&B Cattle on our ranch in a small town called Skidmore down in South Texas. Not long after we purchased our Ranch Benton was in a tragic accident while we were working cattle. He was gored by a bull in September and nearly lost his life. His motivation to getting out of the hospital was to make it back to our ranch and get to work. Benton survived 11 broken ribs, shattered scapula, collapsed lung and severed jugular vein requiring 2 surgeries, 9 blood transfusions, 3 chest tubes and plated ribs. His response to it all was he was blessed to have the problem and never once said 'why me'. We humanely put the bull that attacked him down so that he could never harm anyone else. Although he has limited mobility now since his accident he is still the toughest man I know with incredible heart and grit. One of our favorite songs is by Charley Crockett called "Hard Luck and Circumstances". After a long 30 days in the hospital Benton was finally stable enough to come home. Out of all the songs that song was what came on the radio when we got in the car to get back to the ranch. We just both looked at each other, grinned and have since decided Hard Luck Ranch is what we needed to call our ranch. We believe God brings people into our lives by design. While our road was long and unbearable at times, Benton and I know in our hearts it was by pure Hard Luck. We hope you share our testament by wearing our merchandise displaying your own grit and perseverance through whatever this life brings us through Hard Luck.
