Our mission is to give every cat a chance at a better life by providing exceptional care and finding them loving homes within our community. As a no-kill shelter, we never turn away cats due to medical needs. Every cat receives vaccinations, a microchip, spay or neuter surgery, testing, and, when necessary, extensive medical treatments ? sometimes costing thousands of dollars.

HART is powered primarily by dedicated volunteers and the generosity of individual donors. Without public funding, we rely entirely on community support to care for hundreds of cats each year. Every dollar makes a difference in providing compassionate care and helping us fulfill our mission.

Our custom-built shelter, opened in 2004, features an open environment where cats can run, play, and form bonds with each other. In addition to expert veterinary care, cats at HART receive the love and attention they deserve. We also support individuals who can no longer care for their cats, ensuring every feline has a safe place to call home.
