About this campaign
Recently I was able to see an animal I have always wanted to see in the wild .... a hellbender! Seeing these incredible animals in their natural habitat was an amazing experience! This design is inspired by that experience.
Hellbenders are the largest salamander in North America and can reach over 2 feet in length. They are completely aquatic and live in clear, fast moving well oxygenated water.
Sadly in many states they are found, hellbenders are endangered. They are very sensitive to any changes in water quality. Hellbenders are also very specific to certain spots and rocks. During their breeding season, they lay eggs under flat rocks or rock overhangs. This is one reason it is important not to stack rocks or randomly flip rocks in areas where hellbenders are found.
