We recently went through something that was hard and sad. We saw our community grab ahold of rumors, villainize with them and cast truly unfair and unjust accusations and consequences on someone who was innocent but never given a voice. We saw the systems that are set up to protect, instead be manipulated to fail and craft false narratives. It was heartbreaking. It was also wrong - morally, legally, ethically. .

In an effort to bring something positive out of a traumatic experience, I'm doing this t-shirt fundraiser. I believe a more empathetic community will be more resilient against hate and false judgement. It makes me happy to think about empathy forward messages walking around town. And it makes me happy to help the SoCal ACLU continue to do their wonderful work - they're certainly busy these days! I hope celebrating empathy can bring you happiness too.
