Hopie is our little miracle goat. Rescued last July, she could not even hold her head up. She couldn't walk, had no voice, and the vets were very unsure. However, I wasn't going to give up on her and I could tell she didn't want me to give up on her. Feeding her water through a syringe every few hours, it was going to be a long road to recovery. But if Hopie had anything to do with it, it wasn't going to be as long as everyone would have thought. After only 3 weeks, we got a cart donated that allowed Hopie to get upright. Well it did just that and before long those little legs started to push and her first steps were taken with it. And once she got the hang of it, well it was hard to slow her down. She loved the cart and it made such a huge difference in her recovery. Not long after she got stronger, she wanted to stand on her own. She was so determined! She wobbled, fell, but always wanted to get back up. Again, it was not long and she stood and then took a step all on her own. The cart was not needed not long after because this little girl started walking all on her own then running all over the farm. She never ceases to amaze me to now frolicking, jumping over things, jumping on things, to running all over this farm as my little sidekick. She is a little fighter and because she never gave up, fought hard, always had hope, she was delivered a miracle. Being able to walk and talk again! She lives her life happy everyday because she is grateful for every step she gets to take!
