At some point in our lives, we are faced with a mountain to climb. It's easy to cower in fear at the sight of a mountain, but mountains were never meant to discourage you; they are there to make you stronger. Ever since I was a child, I have been pulled toward the mountains; the majestic beauty and peace I find in the mountains has always felt like home, but they also keep me humble. Despite the years I've spent running up mountains around the world, I am always most aware of my humaness when pushing against gravity on a climb. And when the air gets thinner, I can't help but feel feeble; but I love this too. I love it because each time I stand at the bottom of a mountain, I know that when I hit that summit, I'll be a little stronger. Climbing makes us stronger and each time we choose to climb rather than hide, we step closer to the best version of ourselves.
