MaxieAnn's heart journey began at my 21-week appointment, where I was informed that my little one had a heart defect. That day, my heart sank, and tears filled my eyes. My family and close friends came together, praying for strength and healing. God placed the right people in our path, and we were able to be seen by her Congenital Heart doctor on the same day. In that moment, we found hope and reassurance.

We moved forward with faith, trusting in God's grace, and watched her continue to grow. Then, on one incredible day in April, our sweet MaxieAnn entered the world. She came into this world crying and bright, and we fell in love with her immediately.

But April 24, we learned that she has a complex heart condition. This is a critical diagnosis requiring her to be transferred to a hospital for further evaluation. After a long and difficult journey, May 3, 2025, MaxieAnn was placed on life support, and doctors determined that a heart transplant would be the only viable option.

May 12, 2025, her tiny body underwent surgery to have a device called a Berlin that provides extra support to her heart. Despite the challenges and the many long days and nights, MaxieAnn, our heart warrior princess, continues to fight.

MaxieAnn is now listed for a heart transplant and is waiting for that special gift of a new heart. We currently live more than two hours away from where she?s being cared for, so we?ve been living between two cities, commuting as much as possible to be with her. While we wait for her heart, she continues to grow and hit new milestones.
