This design was created by a community designer as part of our Good Goose, Not a Bad or Broken Duck campaign. The goose stands confidently beside the infinity symbol, bright and expressive, carrying the message that autistic people aren?t ?suffering? from autism. We?re actually really good at being autistic, and the good goose represents that pride, capability, and self?direction. The design rejects the broken?duck narrative entirely. Nothing about autism is defective, and nothing about autistic identity needs fixing. The good goose shows strength, humor, and clarity in a way that fits perfectly into Autistic Pride Chattanooga?s visual language.
The colors and clean lines make the artwork friendly and bold, and the community?created style adds authenticity. It reflects the voices of autistic people designing for autistic people, which is central to how we build our apparel line. This piece is meant to be worn proudly, shared widely, and recognized instantly as part of our campaign to replace deficit framing with competence?based messaging.
Shirt sales support Autistic Pride Chattanooga?s work. Funds go directly into community care, Autistics for Safe Food, educational materials, autistic?led events, accessibility needs, and the practical costs of running programs that serve local autistic and neurodiverse community members. Every purchase helps Autistic Pride Chattanooga keep building community?centered support and resources.
