Ho?? Ke Ahi ? Light the Fire was created in memory of my mom, Lisa Naumu.
My mom was a nurse, mother, grandmother, and deeply compassionate person who spent much of her life caring for others. For more than 20 years, she served our Kaua?i community as a registered nurse at Wilcox Memorial Hospital, while also participating in medical missions and supporting communities beyond our island.
After a courageous battle with Stage IV small cell lung cancer, she passed away on December 11, 2021.
On September 6, 2026, I will run the Kaua?i Half Marathon in her honor. Ho?? Ke Ahi is my way of carrying her strength, resilience, and spirit of service forward.
Proceeds from every shirt sold will benefit Iwikua, a nonprofit foundation in Waimea, Kaua?i, working to strengthen our community through sustainable food production, health and physical wellness, and cultural knowledge.
When you wear this shirt, you are helping us honor my mom's memory while investing in the health, culture, and future of West Kaua?i.
