Our mission at the Collective for Radical Death Studies to decolonize and de-center whiteness within death studies while calling to radicalize death practices. We work to teach, build community, and support those working on radical death studies worldwide.

Juneteenth commemorates the end of slavery, marking time to celebrate emancipation, freedom, and black joy while also remembering the pain and trauma from our past. We remember and celebrate Juneteenth to hold on to freedom gained and to shine light on the work yet to be done.
