Dog Ranch Rescue saves hundreds of dogs annually from horrible conditions and kill shelters. They rely on a team of volunteers and donations from the Village to help with their costs. Bob Ross was rescued in July 2024, nothing but a literal bag of bones. DRR spent nearly $20k to save Bob Ross. Today he is a healthy German Shepherd, loving and devoted to his family.

Dog Ranch Rescue does not just give dogs in their care shots and a spay/neuter. They nurse them back to health and place them in well vetted adoptive homes to give all the rescues their best life. This costs a lot of money compared to many other rescues. With the economy in a slump donations are down, making it difficult for the Rescue to save dogs in need.

Bob Ross has quite a large following on the Dog Ranch Rescue Happy Tails Facebook page. As a way to thank his saviors, Bob Ross posts a "Daily Dose" to help raise the spirits of his followers. He also wants to help DRR save other dogs as critical as he was when found. Bob Ross is raising money through shirt sales to help bring more money into the rescue.
