TRAINING SAVES LIVES.

When people think about animal rescue, they often picture the moment a dog is saved?the shelter exit, the freedom ride, the adoption photo. But for us, rescue doesn?t end when a dog is safe.

Sometimes, that?s when the real work begins.

Kennel Eviction Rescue started because 32 dogs were abandoned in boarding. Many of those dogs had already been labeled ?unadoptable.? They had behaviors people didn?t understand, they needed structure, and they needed someone willing to invest the time and resources into helping them succeed.

So we did.

We spent thousands of dollars on training because we knew these dogs weren?t lost causes. They needed someone to understand them, advocate for them, and give them the tools they needed to thrive.

And we watched training change their lives.

Dogs that people thought would never find homes became beloved family members.

But it didn?t stop with those original 32 dogs.

We saw it again with one of our Dalmatian puppies. At only four months old, her adopter was struggling. Instead of letting that family feel like they were on their own, we stepped in and connected them with our behaviorist for four training sessions.

The difference was so meaningful that, more than a year later, her adopter still attends group classes and pack walks. What started as needing help during a difficult moment turned into a commitment to continue learning and growing together.

That is what we want rescue to look like.

We don?t want to simply place a dog in a home and say, ?Good luck.?

We want our adopters to know that when they adopt from us, they have support. That?s why one of the promises we are working to make for every single Kennel Eviction Rescue adopter is access to training support in some form.

Our recent husky family is another example of that commitment. Mama Bonnie received approximately $3,000 worth of training, and her puppies are going home with training packages included with their adoptions.

Because we would rather invest in preventing problems than wait until a family is overwhelmed.

We would rather give an adopter the tools to understand their dog than have that dog returned.

We would rather build confidence, communication, structure, and trust from the very beginning.

Because rescue is more than saving a dog today.

It?s giving that dog?and the person who loves them?the tools they need to succeed for the rest of their lives.

But that commitment comes at a price. Behaviorists, trainers, private sessions, group classes, and continued support cost money. And as a small rescue, every dollar we put toward training has to come from somewhere.
