Kids In Nutrition (KIN) is on a mission to inspire the next generation to lead healthy, sustainable lives through nutrition education. Early food literacy is key to preventing chronic disease, advancing health equity, and cultivating sustainable food systems.
Led by youth, for youth, KIN?s peer-to-peer education model connects university students with elementary classrooms, where students deliver evidence-based, culturally relevant nutrition education. Over a seven-lesson series, college KINstructors build meaningful relationships with students, connecting colorful, fiber-rich food to health, environment, culture, and identity. This hands-on curriculum centers curiosity and mindfulness, fostering joy and confidence in making conscious food choices beyond the classroom.
KIN is fundraising to bring our 2026 education programs to life. Your contributions support the fight against childhood obesity and Type 2 diabetes while empowering the next generation to view food not only as nourishment but as a lifelong tool for health, equity, sustainability, and joy.
