Kitten season is one of the busiest and most overwhelming times for animal rescues. Our organization, Feline Rescue In The Ferry, is a local non-profit serving coastal North Carolina. We specialize in rescuing mother cats and kittens in hopes of helping end the overpopulation crisis where it begins.

Our devoted team of fosters and volunteers work tirelessly to nurture moms and kittens, providing them with safety, medical care, and loving foster homes until they are ready for adoption. Every animal in our care is microchipped and spayed or neutered before going to their forever home.

It all starts with helping the stray, abandoned, and neglected cats who have nowhere else to turn.

Like many rescues, we are often operating at full capacity, and adoption fees alone never fully cover the cost of rescue operations, medical care, food, and supplies. That?s why fundraising initiatives like this are so important.
