In March 2025, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Looking back, I realized my body had been giving me signs for months before my diagnosis.
About four to six months earlier, I began experiencing symptoms including bloating, feeling full quickly and frequent urination. At the time, I didn't know these could be signs of ovarian cancer.
Then one night, I was awakened from my sleep by a sharp pain in my abdomen. That pain finally prompted me to see my doctor and soon afterward, I learned I had Stage 3C HGSC ovarian cancer.
That experience is why this campaign means so much to me and why I feel so strongly about helping other women know the signs and recognize when persistent changes in their bodies deserve attention.
There are many wonderful shirts that promote ovarian cancer awareness and early detection but I wanted to create something that goes one step further - something that actually helps women know the signs. If I didn't recognize these symptoms as possible sign of ovarian cancer, I know there may be other women who don't recognize them either.
A shirt can be more than something we wear. It can start a conversation, It can educate and perhaps it can encourage someone to listen to her body, speak up and talk with her doctor when something doesn't feel right.
Today, I am an ovarian cancer survivor and continuing my own fight. I created these shirts from my heart with hope that they will spread knowledge, awareness and hope - one person and one conversation at a time.
A portion of the proceeds from this campaign will benefit the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC) and help support their mission.
Thank you for supporting my campaign and, most importantly, for helping women KNOW THE SIGNS.
