Lea has been battling cancer for almost a year now! She has endured many rounds of chemotherapy, a stroke, a seizure, countless blood and platelet transfusion, countless pokes, nausea, pain, fatigue...the list goes on. She has had to sleep in the hospital over 75 nights! Lea's diagnoses turned her and her family's world upside down. She could no longer go to school or continue dance classes (which was devastating because she had just been cast as Clara in the upcoming Nutcracker Show and made the competition team). She became lonely and felt isolated at times. Her family dropped to a one income household and has had to travel back and forth to CHKD, a children's hospital in Norfolk, VA. This is about an hour and 45 minutes from home. This has been HARD at times...emotionally and physically. Lea has always been one to shine, but her bravery and positivity during this journey has showed everyone she meets that her that she won't let anything dim her light. She has remained so kind, giving, sweet, loving, funny, and creative through it all. Let's rally around her wearing these shirts that she designed and show our love for Lea!
