LGBTQ SAVES was established in direct response to LGBTQ+ youth suicides in 2010. We believe that all youth deserve to feel safe, loved, and supported. Our organization works hard to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth feel connected to community and have an affirming support system to decrease the risk of suicide.
As a small, grass roots operation, we are selling t-shirts to help fund our programs. We currently serve 80-100 youth a month by providing:
- Weekly support meetings
- A virtual chat to connect with peers and mentors
- Free Haircuts
- Free Shapewear
- Scholarships
- And more
We are the only LGBTQ+ group in Tarrant County that focuses on making sure that youth have a space to be themselves. We also host several events throughout the year that center around creating a space for them to enjoy Pride.
