In July 2017, our lives changed in an instant when our daughter, Jordyn, was diagnosed with Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS). A rare condition that affects the immune system, shreds the red blood cells, and damages many organs including the kidneys, pancreas, liver, heart, and brain. What started as a stomach bug quickly turned into a frightening illness, kidney failure, and life-altering complications. Jordyn was able to regain some kidney function but is now in need of a kidney transplant.

Why We Are Here: Watching a child face dialysis and the uncertainty of organ failure is something no parent is prepared for. Yet, through every treatment and hospital stay, Jordyn has shown us the true meaning of resilience and fighting for your life.
