Meet Louie - the reason behind Louie?s Fight Club!

We adopted Louie to give him his forever home. What we didn?t know was that seizures would soon become a huge part of his story.

Louie has epilepsy and has experienced frightening breakthrough and cluster seizures despite being under the care of veterinary neurology and taking multiple anti-seizure medications. We?ve done everything we can to manage his epilepsy, but we?ve reached the point where his neurologists need to look deeper.

Louie needs a brain MRI.

The MRI can help his veterinary team look for an underlying cause of his seizures and give us more information to guide his care going forward. The estimated cost is $4,500?$5,000.

Unfortunately, because Louie?s seizures are considered a pre-existing condition, pet insurance will not cover the costs associated with his epilepsy. So we created Louie?s Fight Club to help us get him the answers he deserves.

Every shirt purchased helps us get a little closer to that MRI. And in true Louie fashion, we figured the shirt needed a little humor ? because ?Cause Brains Are Expensive has never felt more accurate. ?

Our fundraising goal is $5,000, based on the estimate we?ve been given for his MRI. If we are fortunate enough to raise more than the final cost of his MRI, additional funds will be used toward Louie?s ongoing epilepsy-related medical care, medications, veterinary visits, and treatment.
