The 2026 pageant season marks the 50 year anniversary of the Miss Gay Springfield pageant!

Miss Gay Springfield America is a marquee event in the female impersonation and drag performance community, showcasing artistry, poise, voice, and charisma. Over the decades, it has provided a stage where performers bring their creativity to life through glamour, talent showcases, evening gowns, costume, and interview or on-stage question categories; and where community, confidence, and self-expression reign.

As the pageant enters its 50th anniversary, it marks a golden milestone: five decades of performance, competition, transformation, and visibility. Throughout its history, it has not only celebrated entertainment and spectacle, but also served as a gathering point and support structure for LGBTQ+ performers and audiences alike. The event has witnessed changing styles, evolving cultural attitudes, advances in acceptance, and the growing importance of representation.
