MMHT's responsibilities have grown and our teams have been entrusted by the City of Chicago to address a few emergent situations:

We are the first and only medical team to have provided care to the hundreds of migrants currently living at O'Hare airport. The number of people living there, and outside police stations, has grown as shelter space cannot keep up with demand.

Along with addressing more urgent cases, our group of volunteer medical students, undergraduate students, physicians, and other healthcare professionals have continued to deliver care every week at police districts that now house on average 100+ individuals each. Your donations have gone towards over-the-counter medications, prescriptions, medical supplies, and other important efforts.

Every dollar you donate goes directly back in to our patient population, and we are SO grateful for your support. These funds are used up extremely quickly, and we thank you for continuing to support us, for sharing our mission, and for following our journey. As the new school year begins, we are excited to bring new volunteers on board and train them to continue delivering the care that asylum-seekers deserve.
