Born in South Korea, Jade Schulz is an American illustrator whose work has appeared in The New York Times, Buzzfeed, and many other publications. Her animations and editorial, message-driven illustrations inspired our collab about the many ways people of all ages use and think about river water. Find Jade on Instagram @jade_schulz.
Nearly everyone in our country lives within a mile of a river but few know what that
river provides. Much of our drinking water comes directly from rivers, and clean
water contributes to our health. Natural river habitats support thousands of plant and
animal species. Our farms and cities depend on abundant river water for growth. For
many of us, rivers offer recreation and a way to connect to nature. That's why American Rivers is championing a national effort to protect and restore all rivers, from remote mountain streams to urban waterways.
You can be a part of the the movement to protect, restore, and preserve the rivers that people and nature depend on. LEARN MORE: AmericanRivers.org.
