Your identity is not up for negotiation. ?????

This design was inspired by something I have witnessed too often: people treating another person's gender identity or pronouns as something they were entitled to question, debate, dismiss, or disrespect.

They're not.

You don't have to understand every part of another person's experience to treat them with basic dignity. Using someone's name and pronouns costs nothing. Respecting who someone tells you they are isn't agreement, permission, or a favor; it's respect.

The word ?negotiation? has a little extra meaning coming from Knot Vanilla. In healthy kink, we negotiate activities, boundaries, limits, and consent. Another person's identity isn't one of the things on the negotiating table.

The trans-pride colors and rope heart bring those ideas together: autonomy, consent, identity, and respect.

Wear it loudly at Pride or quietly on an ordinary Tuesday. Wear it because you're trans, because you love someone who is, or simply because you believe everyone deserves the freedom to exist as themselves without having their identity turned into an argument.

Some things can be negotiated. Human dignity isn't one of them. ???
