In the spring of 2006, a wolf pup who would grow to be a fearless leader was born. To researchers, she was known as 832F, but to Wolfwatchers, she became known as ?06?. She along with 755M and 754M formed the Lamar Valley Pack.

She had the ability to take down elk by herself, yet tenderly raised and cared for three litters of pups.

Following delisting in 2012, wolves that left Yellowstone were no longer protected. They didn?t understand the difference between a person behind the scope of a camera, who were in awe of their beauty or the person behind the scope of a high-powered rifle with the lust for a trophy.

On November 11, 2012, her packmate, 754M, was killed by a hunter. Just a few weeks later, on December 6, 2012 06 was also shot by a hunter for her fur, for bragging rights for simply being a wolf. 

Shortly after her death and as a tribute to the legacy of 06, photographer Jimmy Jones granted us permission to use her photo and together with C.D. Cross who designed this layout, this illustration was created. It is one of the most sought after illustrations and we are grateful to them for allowing us to relaunch this shirt on the 10th anniversary of her death. But, her legacy lives on through her offspring.
