The Farmworker Emergency Fund launched in March of 2026 and was born from the reality that we live and work within systems built on exploitation, and that equity means moving money and resources toward those who make life possible by growing your food, yet are often left behind. A just agricultural future includes care for the people growing our food and medicine. It?s a small, grassroots way to show up for the people who feed us because no one should have to choose between healing and paying rent. Most farmers don?t get sick leave while already being underpaid. Most don?t have insurance or access to needed resources. Our bodies are our tools, and when they?re injured, everything stops.

To be eligible for the fund, applicants must be currently working, interning, or apprenticing on a farm they do not own. Farmworkers must be experiencing an emergency, for example: injury, urgent car repairs, loss of work, legal fees, lack of appropriate gear. Through this fund, farmworkers can request up to $500 in emergency funding, and funds are dispersed through a random selection. We open this fund seasonally and had our first cycle in March/April 2026. The next cycle will be in July 2026.

All proceeds from sales of these t-shirts go to the Farmworker Emergency Fund. Additionally all of our resource and zine sales and honorariums from speaking engagements go to the Fund.
