After 11 years at Animal Place, Panda Bob, our beloved and one-of-a-kind bovine resident, peacefully crossed the rainbow bridge on September 16th. We helped him to transition gently, surrounded by love, to relieve him of his discomfort from metastatic cancer. During his lifetime, Panda Bob impacted countless lives, touching hearts and opening minds.
In 2014, Panda Bob?s pregnant mother was confiscated by Nevada County Animal Control from a small family farm that had left her down and unable to stand, and refused to get her medical treatment. We took her in, and she gave birth to Panda Bob, tragically taking her last breath soon after she saw our veterinarian give him his first bottle.
He leaves behind a legacy of authenticity and compassion that we will honor forever. To read more about Panda Bob?s story and legacy, visit his memorial tribute.
