About this campaign

Oikonos Ecosystem Knowledge has led science-based conservation and education programs across the Pacific since 2002. In Hawai?i, we work closely with local communities and natural resource agencies to tackle urgent threats to seabirds, such as fisheries bycatch, marine debris, and light pollution.
Proceeds from shirt sales and donations directly support habitat restoration, research, and the protection of Hawai?i's seabirds. Designed by Biologist and Winged Ambassadors Manager Ilana Nimz, the artwork celebrates the Freeman Seabird Preserve: the only protected shearwater breeding colony on O?ahu's south shore. The success of ?ua?u kani in this urban colony in Honolulu highlights how we can coexist with our native wildlife when we give them space and protection.
