A few years ago, Owen made a statement on his AAC device that rocked us to our core. He said, ?Run. Want it. I can?t.? Our sweet boy was articulating his awareness of his physical disabilities. The very next day, his team got him into a gait trainer, put him on a treadmill, and cranked up the speed so Owen could run for the first time. It was a special moment that our family will never forget?one that changed our perspective forever. Owen CAN do anything with the right supports and adaptations.

Owen now has the opportunity to run once again. He will be racing in the Colfax 5K with Team Hoyt Denver! The race will be extra special, as Owen will be pushed by our friends and fellow CDKL5 parents, Ty and Alexis. Join us as we cheer on Owen, honor his darling friend Claire, and raise awareness for CDKL5!
