Over the last few months if you've followed our page; you would see that we have four horses needing extensive kissing spine surgery and three kill pen rescues. These horses need us as much as they need you. Crazy Charlie our emaciated Christmas rescue that we thought wouldn't survive is one of many with kissing spine. US Hero, the sweetest gelding is another kissing spine victim. Tenth of Gold, our gorgeous chestnut gelding who is so regal and kind has kissing spine. Lastly, Ramshack a gorgeous athletic gelding is suffering the same diagnosis. The surgeries are expensive; that doesn't involve the medication and the 90 days of rehab they need.
Smilin Cat, Ender and Slew's deputy doll were saved by us; thanks to your support and donations.
As of today, Charlie is on his last 30 days of recovering from surgery. Tenth of Gold and Ramshack had their surgeries on 6/21 and now face a long road to recovery. US Hero is still awaiting his turn but we have yet to raise the funds for him.
Our three kill pen rescues, two have already arrived and the third is undergoing quarantine for another couple weeks.
We are a small 501c3 aftercare facility for OTTB's accredited by TAA, TCA and GFAS. The heart of our organization is the people: our volunteers and the public like you.
We are once again asking for help to help achieve our surgery needs and provide for our other horses on the property. This time though, we are fundraising by offering shirts for you; our supporters. Now, you can not only look cool in a special custom shirt while representing us; some of the money spent in the purchase goes directly to us.
Go ahead, be a voice for our OTTBs and know you played a part in helping our horses take a step towards the ultimate goal: adoption.
