Repertory Dance Theatre (RDT) is a fixture on the cultural landscape of the Lehigh Valley and its artistry directly contributes to the quality of life here. Our performances and outreach programs are designed to entertain and educate, engage and delight Lehigh Valley audiences of all ages about the art of dance and encourage young people to learn about dance as a discipline, profession and avocation.

Since 1997 RDT has proudly conducted an after-school dance education program entitled Talent Identification Program (TIP). Developed by Mel Tomlinson, a former dancer with New York City Ballet and Dance Theater of Harlem, TIP is an inclusive arts experience that provides a free dance education to urban at-risk and disadvantaged elementary, middle and high school students. TIP provides children who have talent, but who lack financial resources, the opportunity to learn the art and discipline of dance and qualified students continue with us until graduation from high school.

In addition to our TIP program, RDT provides no-cost dance workshops for thousands of students in the Allentown schools; two exclusive performances for local school children to RDT's acclaimed Nutcracker with the live Allentown Symphony; Educational and dance outreach programs in collaboration with other arts organizations throughout the Lehigh Valley; and free and reduced priced tickets to seniors and students who might not otherwise be able to enjoy live performances.
