3rd Campaign: Nike shirts.
2nd Campaign
February 17, 2025: the quick attempt to break the country goes on. Austerity, breaking the government maybe leading to privatization, an inward turn to fascism and an outward turn against freedom, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for the common weal and the world.
So: more, brighter shirts. Same line. My mother used to ask me about this shirt. She'd say, "But you've always been a pacifist!" and I'd explain that I absolutely am and hope to remain so and remind her that my line in the sand is the same one we've all been fighting for decades. She understood the line, the shirt, the hope.
All proceeds from this campaign are going to SafePlace International in Oakland, CA, at the suggestion of Ayize Jama-Everett. Thanks for supporting these campaigns!
Cheers,
Gavin @ Book Moon
1st Campaign: 1933? 1939? No thanks!
We?ve been selling these shirts & stickers at Book Moon since 2020.
Yesterday, Jan. 20, 2025, I thought we should go bigger so 100% of these profits here are being donated to nonprofits.*
The first 100 shirts sold are supporting an absolute favorite group, CCATE in Philadelphia, whose mission is "to ignite social transformation by developing the talents of and empowering the Latinx community through culture, art, career development, and education."
I?ve seen the work they do and how involved they are with families and the community and we donate every year.
Wear with pride. Read a good book. Fingers crossed that?s all we have to do.
Cheers!
Gavin @ Book Moon
* Your payment goes like this: nothing to us, costs to Bonfire, profits to CCATE. Huge happiness to all. If you'd like to suggest a nonprofit, email me at Book Moon, thanks.
