12 years ago, a group of Christians caught a vision of what God could do if they lived like missionaries in the downtown area of Lewiston, ME (an area without a strong gospel presence). They planted Redemption Hill Community with the goal of living life together, on mission, for the city and the glory of God. That vision has never changed.
The church has been through some trying seasons and met significant obstacles in pursuit of this mission; however, God has been faithful to preserve the values and vision of the church, establish it in the community of Lewiston, and grow it in depth and breadth.
Redemption Hill Community averages over 100 people gathered on a Sunday morning, representing the culturally and ethnically-diverse Lewiston population. At our past Easter Sunday, 170 adults and kids squeezed into our old mill space to hear about Jesus and witness the baptism of 3 individuals who have been transformed by Him. However, we are less concerned with numbers. We are more concerned that people encounter Jesus in word and deed through God?s people living lives that declare and display Him in the everyday stuff of life.
We have been meeting in an old shoe mill but are being forced to move because of city code enforcements. God opened up a new door for us to move into a larger and more central space in the downtown area where we are ministering. We believe God's hand is in this but we need financial partners to help us raise what we need to move forward.
This shirt fundraiser is one way we can do that. We have priced these shirts to make a small profit off of each one but if you'd like to support us more, please add a further donation or go to rhcentral.com/fundraising.
