Back in the late nineties, a group of coastal bottlenose dolphins led our Ocean Conservation Society research team to save a young girl from drowning, three miles off the coast of Malibu, in California. This account is narrated in the book ?Beautiful Minds: The Parallel Lives of Great Apes and Dolphins? written by our OCS President, Dr. Maddalena Bearzi.
The amazing and talented artist Betty Hatchett read the book and got inspired to create a wonderful illustration representing the young girl saved by the dolphins.
You can help bottlenose dolphins and other marine mammal species by supporting this campaign. All profits will go to support our field research and conservation work on these magnificent animals that share this Planet with us.
You can take a look at Betty Hatchett's work on her website and on her Instagram page.
You can learn more about Ocean Conservation Society's important research & conservation and one of the longest-running projects on dolphins & whales in the world by visiting: oceanconservation.org.
The dolphins (and OCS) thank you for your valuable support.
