Festus Jackson has been apart of Green Acres Farm Sanctuary since we started 12 years ago and he is often the first animal to greet volunteers and visitors. He has overcome more than we will ever know. Due to prior abuse, Festus was very leery of people especially adults. His fear had been perceived as unfriendly which caused him to be deemed unadoptable and facing euthanasia when we were contacted to help him. At Green Acres Farm Sanctuary, Festus found a safe home where he could just be himself with no pressure. Festus loves back stratches, being around children, and hanging out with his horse friends. We wanted to honor Festus Jackson, a feisty but always lovable donkey who has overcome so much.
